The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class SUV, with a higher style quality than the boxy GLB-class, compromises some efficiency in exchange for a swooper roofline and added aesthetic appearance. Engine, Transmission, and Fuel Efficiency
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 221 horsepower and is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard. According to the EPA, the GLA250 is projected to get 25 mpg in the city, 34 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg combined. In all three criteria, the all-wheel-drive GLA250 4Matic’s fuel efficiency estimates are 1 mpg lower. Mercedes claims that it will add a plug-in hybrid version to the lineup in the future.
