The Odyssey’s powertrain is excellent that demands no compromises. It is quick, efficient, and well-polished. The Odyssey changes direction quickly, and it’s easy to forget you’re driving a three-row van from behind the wheel. The Odyssey is the best-driving minivan, and its speed and agility make it efficient in corners and simple to drive on tight roads. 

Driving enthusiasts won’t rave about the Odyssey, and it’s still a minivan. Even though the ride of our Elite test van was less compliant than that of our Pacifica, we believe that its standard 19-inch wheels are, at the most part, to blame for this lack of ease and comfort. Our EX-L test car was equipped with 18-inch wheels and seemed more suited to pockmarked Michigan roads. 

The Odyssey rides comfortably on the majority of road surfaces, and few passengers will complain. According to the EPA, the Odyssey gets 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Our test car outperformed the EPA estimate, achieving 30 miles per gallon in real-world highway driving. In comparison, our long-term Pacifica got 33 miles per gallon.

What is the seating capacity?

The Odyssey is a three-row minivan that seats seven people in base trim. Seating for eight people is available in other trims. Standard features include cloth upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. The seats in the front two rows are supportive, comfy, and well-cushioned. The cabin has plenty of head and legroom, and even adults can sit comfortably in the third row.

How many Child Car Seats?

This car has four full sets of LATCH connectors, two for the second and third-row outboard seats. A tether anchor is also provided for the third-row center seat. The LATCH system in the second row is simple, but the tethers in the third row are too deeply engrained in the seats.

The interior attractiveness of the Honda Odyssey is enhanced with soft-touch, quality materials and a well-built cabin that balances utility and elegance. It’s one of the most beautiful cabins in the class.

Cargo Space

For a minivan, this vehicle provides sufficient cargo space. Behind the third row, there is up to 38.6 cubic feet of area, 92.3 cubic feet behind the second row, and 158 cubic feet behind the front row. However, you’ll have to physically remove the second-row seats to achieve that total. Luckily, Honda made them fold, making them easy to remove. The third-row flats to the ground.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The Odyssey’s infotainment system is simple, but if you want a smartphone connection, you’ll have to up from the base trim. You can customize the available touch screen to your desire, and it responds fast to input. There are a lot of family-friendly features.

CabinWatch uses the available touch screen to show a video feed of the second and third rows, while CabinTalk transforms the stereo into a PA system that allows the driver to talk to passengers in the back. CabinControl allows the driver to manage the rear-seat entertainment system as well as the climate settings.
