2022 Acura NSX

MSRP: $169,500

  • Interior space is good for the class
  • Exteriors are eye-catching
  • Strong gas engine

  • Interior design is relatively simple
  • In-cabin cubby space is limited
  • Competitors are faster

Acura’s flagship vehicle isn’t a huge sedan or even a fully loaded full-size SUV; it’s the 2022 Acura NSX Type S sports car with a hybrid powertrain. A twin-turbo V-6 engine and three electric motors work together to provide rapid acceleration, but the system also allows for a silent, electric-only drive.

Other comparable-priced sports cars, such as the McLaren 570S and the Mercedes-AMG GT, have sharper handling or greater raw power, but the NSX is more pleasant daily. Of course, there are some drawbacks, like the outdated cabin and infotainment system; the NSX’s internal storage space is also limited.

More details regarding the Specs, Features, and Interior have been described in the article below. If you want to know about the 2022 Acura ILX, then click our post.

Engine, Transmission, and Fuel Efficiency

While the 2022 Acura NSX will surely satisfy your desire for speed, it cannot outperform important competitors like the Audi R8 or the McLaren 570S. The 573-hp version of its hybrid powertrain still delivered lightning-fast acceleration times and a 3.1-second run from zero to 60 mph in tests. The 600-hp hybrid-electric engine of the NSX Type S combines a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors.

To power, the rear wheels, the V-6, the nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and one of the electric motors work together. The other two electric motors work separately to power the front wheels, providing the NSX all-wheel drive. In stop-and-go city traffic, hybrid vehicles outperform their gasoline-only competitors, and the NSX does too. The Audi R8 V-10’s EPA city rating of 21 mpg beats the Audi R8 V-10 by a remarkable 7 mpg.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S matches the NSX’s 21-mpg city rating and beats it on the highway with a 28-mpg rating; the NSX is rated for a 22 mpg highway. In our real-world highway fuel-economy test, the NSX achieved a respectable 23 mpg, slightly trying to better its EPA rating but behind nonhybrid competitors.

What is the seating capacity?

The Acura NSX is a two-seater only. Unlike several sports cars, the NSX does not have enough room to hold a suitcase or two between the seats. Because the NXS is a mid-engine car, there is no back seat. Mid-engine cars, as the title indicates, have their engine in the center of the vehicle.

Interior Quality

The NSX competes with rivals that provide high-quality materials and a luxurious appearance. As a result, we may estimate that Acura may improve the materials utilized inside the cabin. Aside from that, the cabin of the 2022 NSX is believed to be similar to that of the 2021 Acura NSX.

Cargo Space

Given its aggressive posture, the NSX offers plenty of passenger room inside. However, its cargo-carrying capability is limited by hybrid hardware. NSX cargo space is 4.4 cubic feet.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated navigation is standard. Like several other interior components, the touchscreen system is sourced from lesser Acuras and Hondas, and the same issues we have about them apply here as well.

The system’s interface is already looking dated, and the menu layout is confusing. To make matters worse, its absence of useless buttons, as well as the unwieldy touch-sensitive volume slider, which makes exact changes hard, add an added layer of difficulty.
