The 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF flows in the 2021 model year into a coupe and convertible category. Although since its debut in 2016, the MX-5 has been one of our favorite options, it always had strong competition. Now, the year before, we see redesigns of the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ, Nissan Z, and MX-5 Miata are alone on top of the mountain, with the discontinuation of the Fiat 124 Spider (which has always been a disguised Miata).
This is a great two-seater in a crowded class, and in a deserted one, it is an outstanding two-seater. The MX-5 Miata RF is a great option due to its powerful hardtop, making the convertible flashy. For 2021, besides the addition of wireless capability for Apple CarPlay, which merely increases your buck bang, there are no important changes.

The interior of Mazda is well-built and eye-catching. Mazda does not want the driving experience to be distracting. The instrument cluster is similar, and in the center of it is a large tachometer. The hardtop is much better than the sound insulation in the soft, although other sacrifices exist, such as a less practical approach. The only real contract breaker is space shortages. Six-footers will fight to get comfortable, and if you get bigger, you stare at the edge of the windscreen directly. It isn’t much different in this soft top, but it is more noticeable here since the cabin is tighter.
Two comfortable, supporting chairs are available in MX-5 RF and a good space to be adequate, despite a shortage of space.
