Review

The 2021 Infiniti QX80 ranks in the lower third in the big luxury SUV class. It has many standard amenities, brawny engine performance, and excellent handling, but it has an unstable cabin and a tight third row. It’s roomy and comfortable, but it’s not as well-rounded or luxurious as its competitors.

The QX80 is separate from other rivals like the BMW X7 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class. It has a standard V8 engine. This luxury SUV has space for seven or eight passengers, with most of the seats equipped with great amounts of cushioning and genuine leather upholstery.

Plus, with no additional charge, Infiniti offers a wide range of driver-assistance systems. With appealing design and the prestige of a premium brand, the QX80 stands out from the competition, because there are more attractive offers.

2021 INFINITI QX80 Interior

What is the seating capacity?

QX80 is a seven-seat SUV with three-row. As a result of its comfortable design, the first- and second-row seats are ideal for taller passengers. While the third-row seats aren’t quite as comfortable and offer less legroom, they’re still sufficient for children and younger.

Wind and road noise is low at cruising speeds, and the inside is very quiet. A heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and leather upholstery are standard. A ventilated front seat and heated second-row seats are available as upgrades.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

Two full sets of LATCH connector is provided for the second-row seats, and the third-row seats are simply equipped with tethers.

Interior Quality

The interior of the Infiniti QX80 is disappointing. The dashboard, steering wheel, and center console haven’t changed much since this SUV debuted in 2011 as the QX56, despite the presence of many high-end materials. It isn’t cheap, but it doesn’t appear as luxurious as the BMW X7 or the Benz GLS.

Cargo Space

The Infiniti QX80 has a cargo capacity of 16.6 cubic feet behind its third-row seats. The second row is folded at 49.6 cubic feet. When the third-row seats are folded, there is a massive 95.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity. It is better than the average for a huge luxury SUV, yet, it still doesn’t look so big as competitors like Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade ESV.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The QX80 uses the InTouch infotainment system from Infiniti, which has two touch screens above and below the dash. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation are available on the upper display, while music, climate control, and car settings can be adjusted on the lower display.

  • Features of standard infotainment includes 8″ and 7″ touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, four USB-ports, HD-radio, satellite radio, and 13-speakers stereo
  • Available features include a 17-speaker sound system and a 2 8-inch display rear-seat entertainment system.
  • Other standard features also include keyless entry, remote start, automatic tri-zone climate control, moonroof, and power lift.
