Review

The 2021 Honda CR-V is supported by impressive passenger and cargo space, a refined cabin, and a lively and energy-efficient turbocharged engine placed at the top of our small SUV ranking. The 2021 CR-V is essentially an all-in-one crossover that appeals to a wider range of customers than its competitors.

The Honda CR-V 2021 is substantially unchanged after an upgrade was received in 2020. It was fully renovated for 2017. The new CR-V Hybrid was the essential addition in 2020, while the LX base received the most significant changes. Now the Honda Sensing (accident avoidance technology) and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine come as standard. Every CR-V is also given a redesigned look and a modified console table design (basically some darker trim pieces here or there).

What is the seating capacity?

The CR-V can carry up to five passengers. The two front seats are comfy and good for longer trips. With more than 40 inches of legroom, even taller passengers may spend some time stretching out and resting in the second row.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

The rear outboard seats have two complete sets of LATCH connectors. The center back seat has an upper and a lower anchor, and the other lower anchor may be taken from the driver’s side. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the second-highest rating for easy use to the outboard anchors. The anchors of the center seat received Marginal second-lowest rating.

Interior Quality

Honda CR-V features a stylish interior with a sharp design and high-quality materials.

Cargo Space

One of the biggest cargo holders in the compact SUV class is the Honda CR-V. There are 39.2 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row of seats or sufficient capacity for many big suitcases and duffle bags.

The rear seat may be folded down to 75.8 cubic feet of space. That cargo volume is equal to or better than the maximum capacity of many SUVs of mid-size. In addition, the low height of this crossover makes it easier to load big items.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

In-car technology is one of the few weaknesses of Honda. The basic model is a kind of dinosaur since just a 5-inch screen lacks touch. All other features have a touch-screen system with built-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Instead of the native interface, you probably want to use these options, which suffer from clunky menus and slow response times.

  • Standard features: a 5-inch display, a stereo with four speakers, Bluetooth, and USB ports.
  • Features are available for infotainment: a 7-inch touch-screen, Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo system, HD Radio, an additional front USB port, two rear USB ports, an eight-speaker stereo, wireless charging devices, browsing, and a Premium nine-speaker stereo.
  • Further standard features: automatic climate control.
  • Other features are available: dual-zone are automatic air conditioning, moonroof, remote start, keyless entry proximity, auto-dimming mirrors, universal garage door, and interior ambient lighting.
