Review

The 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid is close to the center of our hybrid-electric SUV classification. It has a pleasant driving experience and ample cabin room, but an outdated infotainment system is designed. The 2021 Honda CR-V is essentially an all-in-one crossover that attracts a wider spectrum of buyers than any of its rivals. Name a practical characteristic, and almost sure it does so well and better than its many competitors: quality, safety, space, fuel economy, performance, the content of features, value, and reliability are all highlights. Moreover, even though it is not as elegant or enjoyable to drive as other competitors, it is neither ugly nor boring.

After an update in 2020, the 2021 CR-V is substantially unchanged. It was fully renovated for 2017. The most important addition was the new 2020 CR-V Hybrid, although the LX base received the greatest changes. The standard is now available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and the Honda Sensing Accident avoidance Tech. In addition, all CR-V cuts were fitted with a new style and a modified center console design (mostly some darker parts here or there).

What is the seating capacity?

This compact SUV can seat five passengers. Seats with plenty of headroom and legroom are available in both rows, and taller passengers can sit comfortably. Seats include a lot of cushioning for support and comfort. Driver visibility is excellent as well.

Standard upholstery material is usually made of cloth. In addition, a set of heated front seats is offered, as are heated leather upholstery, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

For a 6-foot driver and shorter passenger, the front seats are adjusted. The second row is fitted with three child seats. Behind the driver seat is the booster seat, and behind the passenger seat are the infant and convertible seats.

Interior Quality

Chrome and fake wood accents make the top trim elegant, but even the first-level model utilizes soft plastics and high-end materials.

Cargo Space

This hybrid has less cargo space than its gas-only version by about 6.5 cubic feet due to the positioning of its lithium-ion battery pack. However, it still has a big holding cargo compared to other small SUVs and other cars in its hybrid and electric SUV ranks, with 33.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 68.7 cubic feet under the front seats.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The CR-V is an intuitive touch screen. However, its responses were in lag, and certain settings need you to scroll through several menus, which take your eyes off the road; it takes time. Moreover, the graphics are pretty dated. Physical controls exist, but they are limited to a steering wheel with a volume knob and buttons and a range of climate controls.

  • Standard infotainment feature: A 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, satellite, stereo, 8-speakers, four USB ports, and Bluetooth
  • Available features for infotainment: navigation, wireless charging, and stereo for 9-speaker
  • Other standard features: keyless entry, start push button, automatic dual-zone climate control, and the moonroof.
