Review
The 2021 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid is a beautiful city vehicle with a good range of electricity and ho-hum electric power among its drawbacks. However, this car has neither an overall score nor a rating because the projected reliability was not tested or scored in full. The 2021 Clarity is a very distinct kind of Honda, whether offered as a plug-in hybrid or a hydrogen fuel cell. However, despite its sophisticated propulsion methods, the Clarity is still very well functioning as a mid-size family car.
The plug-in hybrid variant has a driving range of up to 48 miles, which should be sufficient to cover the traffic of many customers every day without getting into the gasoline tank too far. In addition, Honda will lease the model hydrogen fuel cell if you reside in California and offer you a fuel credit of up to $15,000. The fuel cell of the Clarity stores enough hydrogen for a driving distance of up to 360 miles.

2021 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Interior
What is the seating capacity?
The Clarity has a capacity for five passengers and is good in both rows. However, while the seating is pleasant and well-padded, larger passengers in back seats may find their heads brushing against the ceiling.
Clothes and heated front seats are standard features of the seat. The Touring plug-in and the Clarity Fuel Cell model include leather upholstery seats and heated front seats with eight-way driving power adjustment and four-way passenger power adjustments.
How many Child Car Seats are there?
Two full sets of LATCH connectors are in the car for the rear outboard seats.
Interior Quality
The Clarity features a high-end interior with wooden trim, soft leather surfaces, and a superb fit and finish.
Cargo Space
Depending on the Honda powertrain, cargo space varies. The Clarity plug-in hybrid has a 15.5-foot trunk, typical of the classical sedans, but less than many hatchbacks. The split-back seats, though, offer a little more space. The back seats of Clarity Fuel Cell cannot be folded down, and it has only 11.8 cubic feet of trunk capacity due to the placement of its hydrogen tank.
Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation
Although the infotainment system of this Honda appears high-tech, expensive maintenance may be used. In addition, the system may respond to inputs slowly, and tiny touch-sensitive buttons can make it difficult to locate when driving.
- Standard features for infotainment: an 8-inch touch screen, Android Car, Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, Bluetooth, an HD satellite, and HD radio
- Available features: a 12-speaker stereo and navigation
- Additional standard features: double-zone automatic climate control, start button, and keyless proximity.

Should I Buy a Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid 2021?
The Honda Clarity 2021 is an excellent vehicle, it has many standard features, a balanced ride, and a good electric range also. But the class offers better choices. The Hyundai Ioniq has larger cargo than the Clarity, and it comes in hybrid, plug-in, and electric variants. The Honda Accord Hybrid is well classified and much cheaper than its sibling. You may also explore the Chevrolet Bolt if it is within your budget and ready to dive with an electric car.
