2021 GMC Yukon – Review, Specs, Configurations, Prices, and Interior

2021 GMC Yukon

MSRP: $50,700 - $71,400

  • Luxury interior with three rows of large seating areas
  • Quick to use a system of infotainment
  • Engines are powerful

  • Reliability rating Subpar predicted

The 2021 GMC Yukon ends with a midsize large SUV ranking. It’s massive, both internally and externally. It is still powerful and convenient, but its below-average reliability rating affects its overall score. The GMC Yukon has been nearly similar to the Chevy Tahoe for most of its existence. It would have a certain amount of external differences, maybe a few different characteristics, but you would find it difficult to tell the two apart from the badging.

It has also become a luxury standard of Denali. This latest Yukon generation mostly keeps going, but the Denali now stands out more. It is designed to link the gap between Yukon and Cadillac Escalade. It contains high-end features such as the optional Yukon 6.2 liter V8 and magnet suspension, otherwise available with air springs.

All of this, in combination, makes the 2021 Yukon Denali a luxury. If your bank account allows, it is easy to get the version. The interior is the biggest difference. Not only the Yukon but the Denali trim level, in particular, are the full dashboard and door panels. The dash style is squared and like a truck, but the use of superior materials offset it. Wrapped in stitching, large parts of the dash.

What is the seating capacity?

The Yukon is a three-row SUV with 8 or 7 available bucket seats in its standard configuration. All three rows of seats provide adults with plenty of room for easy travel. This is a good chance, but even in large SUVs, the third-row seats are not necessarily appropriate for adults.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

For each seat of the second row of the Yukon, full sets of LATCH connectors and tether-only connectors are required for each third-row position.

Interior Quality

Many people have long considered the Yukon as a top-quality Chevy Tahoe. But the redesigned GMC is now the most innovative interior in the larger SUV class. The Denali trim is well-measured against true SUVs such as the Yukon and Tahoe-related Cadillac Escalade.

Cargo Space

As one of the best cargo carriers on the market, the entire new Yukon is taking its claim. The Yukon standard has 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the seats in the third row. The third-row seat is folded down at 72.6, and the second and third rows are folded down at 122.9 cubic feet. Yukon XL models deliver much more space if you can believe it. The area behind the third row is 41.5 cubic feet, the third row is 93.8 cubes folded, and the second and third rows are folded with 144.7 cubic feet.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The infotainment system of this GMC has a lot to enjoy. The touch screen from the driver’s seat is easy to access and reach and responds quickly to commands. The interface of the system is also intuitive, such that the learning curve isn’t much.

A 10.2-inch touchscreen, Android and Apple car play wireless, 6 speakers, satellite, HD Radio, WiFi, 6 USB ports, and Bluetooth are standard features of infotainment. Navigation and an entertainment feature for the rear seat are available features.  Additional features are automatic Tri-zone climate control and remote beginning,  a panoramic sunroof, and a power sliding central console are available.
