Review

The 2021 GMC Canyon is a compact truck with easy-to-use features, but its rock bottom’s reliability predicts its overall appeal.  The 2021 Canyon, although largely identical to the surface, is essentially the glamorous version of the Chevy Colorado. While these medium-sized pickup trucks are extremely popular, they now compete against alternatives like the Ford Ranger or the Jeep Gladiator. As compared to any other vehicle in this class, GMC markets its midsize picking-up, even if it does not meet these requirements with its top-of-the-line Denali model.

Even the Canyon can be chrome-covered and filled with elegant features like cooled and heated seating. It also comes with a trio of V-6 and torque-rich 4-cylinder diesel engines. Like Colorado, the Canyon offers a vehicle that’s not based on a crossover, a surprisingly refined ride, and athletic handling. This helps the GMC Sierra 1500 with its enormous towing and carriage capability to better imitate the full-size pick-ups.

2021 GMC Canyon Interior

What is the seating capacity?

Cab Canyon models extended four-person and crew cab models seat five-person. You would like much greater support for the front seats, but these are usually spacious and comfortable. There is still plenty of space and good comfort for adults in the second row of Crew Cabs. Extended Cab rear seats are very small and better suited for children or very short journeys.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

Two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the installation of safety seats are available for Crew cab models. Even for the back middle seat, there is a tether anchor.

Interior Quality

The inside of the canyon is not anything to complain about. It is gorgeous and elegant, with certain materials of quality. But still, in the Denali trim, there are several low-rent materials. It makes the GMC less high than the competitor.

Cargo Space

The Canyon has a bed length of 5-foot-2″ and 6-foot-2″, But you can’t lay plain wood sheets between them as you can in a lot of rivals. The bed is just 44 inches wide between the wheel wells. The bedsides are high, and the load floor will make it difficult to retrieve cargo. Moreover, a few rivals have more in-bed features than the Canyon, where the EZ-lift and the lower tailgate are provided, and steps are built into rear corners.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The infotainment features of the Canyon are usually simple, with clear icons and simple controls on the touch screen. Also, for other functions, there are large physical knobs. Connectivity features such as APP and Android Auto come standard, so your mobile phone can easily be synced with the truck.

  • Standard features: 7-inch touchscreen, six speakers, two USB ports, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Car
  • Available features for infotainment: 8-inch touch screens, wireless charging devices, Bose seven-speaker stereo, satellite radio, HD radio, USB ports, hot spot Wi-Fi, and navigation
  • Automatic climate control, keyless entry, and remote start features are available.

Do GMC Canyons have their value?

The resale value is reliably high, supported partially by low numbers on the used market, and greatly enhanced by an impressive premium interior, which borders on true modern luxury.

Which is better: Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon?

Overall, Colorado is the way to go, whether you intend to use your car for work or off-road. The Canyon will probably be your best bet if you are looking for a small pickup that is quiet, capable, and slightly more upmarket.

GMC Canyons are reliable?

The Ranger gets the best rating of 4 out of 5 when it comes to reliability. For 1 out of 5, the canyon is the lowest. In both the Canyon and the Tacoma, seat comfort is bad. For driving ease, Ranger, Ridgeline, and Colorado scored pretty well.
