Review

The Cadillac XT5 from 2021 finishes at the back of our medium-sized luxury SUV class. While the XT5 does not impress much, as many class rivals are more sporty and upscaling, it has a greatly predicted reliable rating. The 2021 Cadillac XT5 plays in the most popular segment of luxury: the two-row crossover. This is done with the traditional nebula Cadillac, which crosses the line between big segments with the pledge to make more money than the Germans offer. And while the competitive size is cheaper than many, in some ways, you lose out.

Style is still subjective, but inside and outside of Germany and elsewhere, most of its rivals are stronger. The Sport Trim black-out adds a bit of pizazz, but the look is not unforgettable. The powertrain choices are less than enthusiastic. The V6 is not so much a power improvement as it is shared with many non-luxury GM cars but is refined but not as powerful as what rivals offer. Any of the technology is attractive at his price point, but we would like to recommend an inspired interior and a faint driving experience to many of the rivals of the XT5, no matter which segment they belong to.

What is the seating capacity?

While other medium-sized luxury SUVs are three-row, the XT5 can seat five in two rows. The sitting areas are spacious, and the legroom in the cabin is fine. However, larger passengers may want to avoid the rear seat, particularly because the SUV has a sunroof since the headroom is tight.

How many Child Car Seats are there?

The XT5’s rear outboard seats are equipped with two full LATCH connectors, and the upper anchor is in the rear middle seat. For other hardware, tether anchors may be confused, and the bottom anchors may be placed too deeply into the seats.

Interior Quality

In terms of the cabin’s design and quality, the XT5 doesn’t really meet class standards. Some reviewers argue that the final design is somewhat scattered, as though the plan is not simple. Also, several competitors fit and finish superior.

Cargo Space

The cargo capacity is typical for the class in this Cadillac. The back seats have a capacity of 30.2 cubic feet. Fold down those seats and increase the space to 63 cubic feet.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The CUE infotainment system is user-friendly, and controls include a rotary pushbutton and secondary buttons. However, the system can respond to inputs slowly, and sunlight can make seeing the display difficult. Furthermore, most competitors have bigger touch screens than the XT5.

  • Standard features: an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto Wireless, Apple Carplay, Bose Audio eight-speaker, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB port, and Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • Available features of infotainment: wireless charging devices, navigation, Bose 14-speaker, and rear-seat entertainment.
  • Other standard features: automatic double zone temperature control and remote
  • Additional features available: Auto climate control  tri-zone and a sunroof
