  • It's a little expensive.

The 2021 BMW M850 is differentiated from other models by the optional M Sport styling kit, including 20-inch wheels, exclusive badging, and lower front and rear fascias. Upgraded Merino leather upholstery, 16-way power-adjustable front seats, front air conditioning, dual-zone automatic, driver and front passenger heated-cushion, heated-seatback heated front seats, SiriusXM with 360L AM/FM/HD/Satellite, seek-scan radio, and upgraded ambient lighting differentiate the interior.

The 2021 BMW M850i’s 4.4-litre engine produces 523 horsepower and accelerates 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, significantly faster than the other models. The 2021 BMW M850i xDrive is the most potent 8 Series Coupe available now that the BMW M8 has been discontinued. Launch control and the grippy xDrive AWD system help it accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

Larger wheels, an aerodynamic package, and an M rear spoiler distinguish the M850i from the 840i, and a carbon roof is available as an optional extra. Stainless steel fabric trim and a leather-wrapped M Sport steering wheel are among the cabin’s sporty touches. Extended Merino leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats are standard. It is the most opulent and fastest 8 Series Coupe available.

2021 BMW M850 Interior

The classy and richly trimmed cabin might not be as flashy as some would like, but the difference between it and cheaper BMWs was easy to see in our previous BMW 8 Series reviews. All fixtures and fittings seem high quality, and rattles and squeaks are conspicuous only by their absence. BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional is in front of the pilot, with its very dark 12.3-inch display, while the familiar iDrive screen is in the middle of the dash.

The 8 Series has 14-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, soft-closing doors, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel as a standard kit. Advanced safety features include frontal collision warning, lane departure warning, and a fatigue/focus alarm function on all models. Even for smaller adults, there isn’t enough space back there, particularly with legroom in short supply.

Things are much more accommodating upfront, with plush front seats that are well-bolstered. The driver and front-seat passenger can quickly get in and out, but, as with many coupes, the long doors should be opened with caution in tighter spaces. Wide pillars partly obstruct the view out of the driver’s seat, but the 8 Series provides a sporty and pleasurable driving spot for the most part.

Extended Merino leather comes standard on the M850i, while full Merino leather costs $2,000 more. Carbon fibre trim is available, which is a first. Finally, diamond-cut glass controls (for the gear lever, the iDrive Controller, and more) are available as an option.

Should I Buy a 2021 BMW M850?

Yes, the BMW 8 Series is one of the few automobiles on a minimal list if you’re searching for a top-of-the-line sports sedan with a usable second row and a large trunk. It provides a lot of flexibility with extra standard features like heated front seats, and it’s simple to choose a model that meets your requirements.

You may also Ask for

Is the 2021 BMW M850 a good car?

The BMW M850 for 2021 is a fantastic vehicle. The V8 engine reserved for the top-of-the-line model is unquestionably the best. Aside from the performance, the interior is plush and well-equipped, with the most modern technology currently available. The only drawback with the interior is that it lacks the soul that rivalling interiors possess. Although trunk space isn’t plentiful, the 8 Series is much more versatile than its main competitor. Simply put, BMW is an excellent all-arounder that needs to be considered.

How much is a BMW M850?

The BMW M850 Gran Coupe starts at $108,900, the coupe at $111,900, and the convertible at $121,400. A $995 destination fee is included in all 8 Series Convertible models.

2021 BMW M850 Convertible vs Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible

It isn’t easy to choose a true winner between these two German rivals because they’re so close to perfection.

  • The S-Class is much bigger, but its engine is less potent than the M850i’s, and it costs significantly more.
  • Premium fabrics and an immaculate architecture with traditional design and modern technology distinguish Merc’s interior.
  • Despite sacrificing interior luxury in the process, the BMW is the more athletic, performance-focused of the two, which could be a win for some.
  • The Mercedes-Benz is more refined and well-made, but it’s also more expensive and less powerful.
  • The better car would eventually come down to whether you prefer efficiency over comfort or vice versa. Still, as the classic luxury grand tourer, we believe the S-Class is the better overall car.
