Review

The base 2021 BMW 430 is configured with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and 294 lb-ft of torque and is paired up with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Remember that it’s the sub-trim of the 2021 BMW 4 Series. The BMW 430 will reach 60 mph in 5.5 seconds with rear-wheel drive and 5.3 seconds with xDrive all-wheel drive.

According to the EPA, the four-cylinder 430i coupe is projected to get 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. When all-wheel drive is included, these figures drop to 24 and 33 mpg, respectively. While the 2021 BMW 4 Series M440i’s six-cylinder engine gets 22 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. The M440i hasn’t been checked on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, but the 430i xDrive managed 34 mpg on a 200-mile route.

Depending on your cynicism level, the interior design meets standard BMW styling points, which means it’s either brand-confident or boring and repetitive.
