Review

The 2021 Audi TT RS is a well-known sports car with a muscular front and rear bumper and a discreet hexagonal mesh grille in the front. Air is channeled to the larger intercooler via larger air dams. The 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine produces 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission distributes torque to all four wheels. By combining the low to mid-range torque and lightning-fast transmission, the RS feels faster than the official numbers say.

The dual-clutch transmission allows for relaxed city crawling and long-distance cruising as well as highway overtaking speeds. As a result, the engine has one of the most distinctive identities of any modern turbo engine. The sound alone will give you goosebumps and attention, but its live performance will knock you out. Although the TT RS is pleasant in town, the ordinary driver will soon complain about low-speed bumps.

New 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/30 R20 summer performance tires are standard on the US-spec RS, as is the Black Optics package and model-specific features like the RS high-gloss black front spoiler and fixed RS rear wing spoiler. Dual exhaust outlets and fully automatic LED headlights are among the other exterior elements. The RS has a small phone charging port in front of the center console, spacious door pockets, and a storage tray beneath the driver’s seat.

What is the seating capacity?

Within the TT RS’s cabin limits, there is exactly enough room for two adults. Sure, it’s a 2+2, but it’ll take a few dislocated joints to get a real human in the back. The back seats should be thought of as extra storage space.

Interior Quality

Audi doesn’t play around when it comes to interiors, especially when it comes to its performance models. The inside of the TT RS is a near-perfect blend of premium luxury and sportiness, and it closely mirrors the much more expensive and exotic R8’s interior space.

Cargo Space

The TT RS was never meant to be a supermarket cart, but it’s more useful than you may expect. When you open the trunk lid, you’ll find 12 cubic feet of storage space.

Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The 12.3-inch display provides a clean experience, with menus and settings that are accessible and intelligible, but because the system is located in the instrument cowl, it is only visible to the driver. For a polished overall experience, Audi’s MMI control system employs steering wheel controls, touch controls, or the intuitive touch-sensitive rotary controller. USB connectivity, two SD card slots, satellite radio, and wireless phone charging are standard features. A conventional 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system is used.
