Review

The 2021 Audi S4 is a high-performance version of Audi’s compact sedan. The S4 comes with the same engine and performance in all models.

The S4 produces 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque thanks to a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. That’s 148 horsepower more than the regular A4 and 88 more than the A4’s updated 45 TFSI trim’s optional engine.

The eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission is standard on all S4 models, and it’s excellent – but not perfect.

All models are equipped with a Quattro all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission; there is no manual transmission option.

Audi does not offer a switchable AWD system to its competitors. Still, the Audi S4 is a strong vehicle, with 0-60 mph times of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph on the tables.

These are impressive numbers, and the Audi S4 sedan will deliver them time after time. Most Audi S4 reports, however, will admit that the car is a little docile and unassuming. The S4 is fantastic for outstanding performance in a sleeper’s suit, but it won’t set your hair on fire as a Giulia might.

2021 Audi S4 Interior

The Audi S4 has a near-perfect cabin that is simple, practical, and attractive. It looks nice and feels spacious, and standard features such as heated and massaging 12-way power-adjustable front seats add to the relaxing atmosphere. You get mood lighting and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, Bluetooth, and two USB ports as standard.

Still, the 12.3-inch configurable driver info display is only available on the mid-level Premium Plus to trim. Even so, the leather and Alcantara upholstery are appealing enough that the regular seven-inch display can be enough.

The Audi S4 2021 comfortably seats five people thanks to wide door openings that render ingress and egress easy. Inside, all Audi S4 models have a combination of leather and Alcantara, with the diamond-stitched quilting design on the seats being particularly notable.

The Audi S4’s 12 cubic-foot trunk is smaller than average and one of the smallest in the section, but it’s still big enough for three large suitcases and a few other items. Thankfully, the rotary knob on the center console is easy to use and makes the machine more navigable.

Is a 2021 Audi S4 Good Option to Buy?

The base model isn’t unsafe, and the top trim comes with a lot of standard features, but the mid-level Premium Plus trim is our favorite.

This model not only gets most of the top trim’s features, but it also comes with enough features as standard to make it a perfect daily driver. This model is attractive, convenient, and well fitted, with a 12.3-inch configurable TFT driver data display, wireless charging, keyless entry, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, blind-spot detection, a surround-view camera, and a better interior grateful to leatherette surfaces in some additional areas.

You can add things like navigation and heated rear seats if you want, but this is the best of the bunch, even without them.
