Review

The body of the 2021 Audi RS 5 Sport model is a bit unique. Its direct rivals are sedans or the traditional two-door coupes, whereas the Sportback falls somewhere in the middle. The engine produces 444 horsepower and 442 ft-lb of torque, with the latter accessible as early as 1,900 revolutions. Thanks to Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the base model has a 3.8-second 0-60 mph time and a top speed of 155 mph.

Although it isn’t as attractive as the RS5 Coupe, Audi has incorporated an extra set of doors without damaging the aesthetic. The Audi looks relatively staid in specific colors and could easily pass for another dull sedan. Fortunately, Audi offers a few bright colors that help to emphasize the lines. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels and LED Matrix headlights with Audi laser light.

The Ascari launch variant has 20-inch wheels and blue brake calipers, while the Black optic launch edition’s 20-inch wheels and other high-gloss black external elements have a high-gloss black finish. The Audi RS5 is a luxury sports coupe with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 444 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, all of which is channeled to the Quattro AWD system through an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

2021 Audi RS 5 Interior

Audi is known for producing interiors that rival, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Mercedes-Maybach. It’s always been a source of pride for Audi, and we discovered that the interior of the 2021 Audi RS5 Sportback is yet another reason to be proud of the German brand. The front seats are power-adjustable and heated and provide a good blend of comfort and bolstering to keep you in place while driving aggressively. Seat heating for rear-seat passengers is standard.

If there was one issue, it was the prior 8.3-inch MMI system. It didn’t have a touchscreen, so you had to use a dial to control everything. The old system has been replaced with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that contains the MIB 3 infotainment system. It works with Apple CarPlay wirelessly, whereas Android Auto still requires a USB cable.

The cargo space is increased to 35 cubic feet by folding the rear seats flat. Cupholders and bottle holders are standard in the doors. However, the center console storage is smaller than other competitors.

A 12.3-inch digital instrument display is also included, which the driver can personalize to his liking. Navigation and music are provided, and RS-specific information like horsepower, oil temperature, torque, and tire information. A ten-speaker sound system comes standard, while a premium Bang and Olufsen 3D sound system are offered. All of the touchpoints, especially the ones you use the most, have a substantial feel. The steering wheel with the flat bottom looks and feels fantastic.

Should I Buy a 2021 Audi RS 5?

There is only one version available, and it will set you back $75,400. However, when it comes to optional accessories, we can provide some purchasing guidance. For $595, we’d recommend you to upgrade to one of the unique metallic options while keeping the regular wheels. There’s no need to firm up the ride any further. The $3,000 RS Driver Assistance Package, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane assist, surround-view camera, a head-up display, park assist, and traffic sign recognition, is the only other thing we’d recommend. This package will not improve Audi’s performance, but it may be worth it depending on how vital modern driver aids are to you.

You may also Ask for

Is the 2021 Audi RS 5 a good car?

It is an absolute blast. The Audi RS5 Sportback combines the best of both worlds, which may seem unusual. It boasts sleek coupe-like aesthetics and mind-bending performance, but it has more than double the load volume of the RS5 Coupe, which has only 10.9 cubic feet. It’s a joy to look at and engage with the decor. Interior finishes include Alcantara, carbon fiber, and genuine leather. It has the appearance of being more costly than it is, which few manufacturers can tell about.

What is a 2021 Audi RS 5 worth?

In the United States, the MSRP of the 2021 Audi RS5 Sportback is $75,400. The $1,045 destination fee, taxes, title, and dealer fees are not included in the Audi RS5 base price.

Is a 2021 Audi RS 5 a reliable car?

Like the Audi RS5 Sportback, the A5 on which it is based lacks a J.D. Power rating.
