Review

The 2021 Audi Q3 is available in two trim levels: Premium and Premium Plus. For this model, the top-of-the-line Prestige trim has been phased out, and its features have been divided into packages.

A 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, an automatic transmission, and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive are standard on Q3. The critical distinction between the two trims is in terms of features. Although the base Premium is well-equipped, upgrading to the Premium Plus is worthwhile. It’s not that much more expensive, and it comes with a slew of convenience, safety, and technology features that aren’t available on the base trim.

The Premium Plus comes with a 10.1-inch touch screen, handwriting recognition and gesture controls, navigation, a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo, Audi’s 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit, and traffic sign recognition as part of the available Technology kit. A Parking Assistance package is also available, including a surround-view parking camera system and park assist.

Among luxury subcompact SUVs, the new Audi Q3 is a compelling choice. It’s a well-rounded car with a sleek, feature-rich interior, a smooth ride, and engaging handling. It has a few flaws, such as a coarse-shifting transmission and poor gas mileage, but they are small compared to its advantages.
