Review

The 2014 Volkswagen GTI is a perfectly compacted SUV car. Initially, the legendary Volkswagen GTI was debating the first “hot hatch” when VW made driving a compact hatchback enjoyable. Now in its sixth generation, the GTI still lives up to the sporting intentions of the original. The 2014 VW GTI is available as a four-door, 200-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an option of a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) that allows the driver to turn continuously through paddles on the steering wheel or to use the shift lever itself without performing the clutch work.

The 2014 VW GTI has many features such as well-bolstered fabric sports seats with plaid inserts, halogen fog lights, aluminum pedals, SIRIUS satellite radio, 18-inch performance tires on alloy wheels, sports suspension, six airbags, tire pressure control, an 8-speaker touch-screen audio system, Bluetooth, and a multi-function leather steering wheel are included in a detailed list of optional equipment. The GTI overall is unchanged for 2014. The only two trims available are the Wolfsburg Edition and Drivers Edition.

Cargo Space

The 2014 VW GTI has 15.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 46 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, which is a decent amount of space for the class.
