Review

The 2003 Volkswagen Passat is a mid-sized vehicle. It provides an interior of high quality and a high level of driving experience. This is a Volkswagen mid-size car, competing against the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima. Passat gives more style and quality than any of them. Its innovative and creative engines are smooth and powerful. Passat is now the most selling German-built vehicle in the United States. Volkswagen sold about 15,000 Passat a year from six years ago, and 96,142 of them were sold in 2002.

The Passat was refreshed last year by Volkswagen, with bolder contours and new lights and rear. A stiffer chassis has enhanced the riding and the handling of the body panel. VW expanded the Passat line for 2003 with a new GL model and a power sunroof. For 2003, the GLS now comes with alloy.

2003 Volkswagen Passat Interior

The 2003 VW Passat provides an interior with the latest and most leading specifications.  Volkswagen is a leading design and demonstrates interior quality. Details are simply delightful. Where other manufacturers use inexpensive plastic, Volkswagen uses high-quality materials, which look so nice.  Even the base Passat is equipped with high-quality, comfortable clothing and luxurious seating. A high-quality cloth is the cloth seat fabric. Any of the interior surfaces are finished with an esthetically pleasing soft-touch paint.

For long drives, the comfortable seats are mounted in all models. The driver and passenger get completely adjustable seats. An incline knob gives countless variations but looks uncomfortable and takes time to adjust. The height adjustment is made by means of a lever that acts as a jack to up or down the seat. The angle of the seat can be adjusted further. GLX and W8 provide Eight-way power-adjustable seats. The back seat is for two adult males, but three are squeezed but should not be considered more than a short journey. Passat cars give 39 cubic feet of cargo space and 56.5 cubic feet of back seats.

2003 Volkswagen Passat Features

The standard safety equipment includes the requisite front airbags, plus seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags required to protect passengers in the front and back seat. Not all side airbags are the same. Compared to the more common side airbags protecting passenger’s chests, Passat’s airbags are of curtain style and are essential in protecting their heads.
